A Levant man was charged Friday morning with aggravated domestic violence assault, according to the Penobscot County sheriff’s office.
Damian Ouellette, 26, was being held without bail at Penobscot County Jail, Lt. James Ellis said in a news release.
Details about the incident were not released.
Ouellette was arrested after deputies were called about 7:30 a.m. to a home on Hummingbird Lane, Ellis said.
Ouellette is expected to make his first court appearance Monday at the Penobscot Judicial Center.
If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000.
