The Maine State Police are investigation the death of a woman in Hartford, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said Thursday morning.
Ana Cordeiro, 41, was found in the home where she lived with her boyfriend, Rondon Athayde, 46, and their two children, ages 3 and 4, he said.
An autopsy will be conducted Thursday at the state medical examiner’s Office in Augusta.
Athayde called 911 just after midnight, McCausland said. Investigators and evidence technicians at expected to remain at the home for most of the day.
The children are being cared for away from the house, he said.
