After more than 20 years in business, the Bangor Mall location of ice cream chain Dairy Queen will close for business later this month.
An employee at the mall location confirmed that Saturday, Dec. 29, will be its last day serving ice cream, burgers and Orange Julius beverages. It is not known what, if any, eatery may take its place. Bangor Mall management did not answer requests for comment.
The closure leaves just two eateries in the mall: Bangor Pizza & Subs and Espresso Self, a coffee bar.
There is now just one Dairy Queen in Bangor, located on Broadway. There’s also a Dairy Queen on Wilson Street in Brewer.
