The man accused of beating a Bangor musician to death allegedly captured the assault on Facebook
–Donald Galleck pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder charges in the November death of Jason Moody in Bangor. According to the police affidavit detailing the case, he unintentionally switched a Facebook Messenger call to video mode as he allegedly beat Moody to death.

Greenland harvest numbers could be good news for North Atlantic salmon fishery
–A 2018 agreement between the Atlantic Salmon Federation and the union representing Greenland’s commercial fishermen resulted in the lowest take of Atlantic salmon in 13 years. The result is likely to be a larger salmon population in North American rivers where the fish spawn.
The men arrested at an Ellsworth hospital were on their way to see their ailing grandmother
–Their grandmother was sick at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital, according to family members and a lawyer who was advising the three brothers’. According to police, they had pulled their car over to the side of the road and ran to the hospital, ignoring an officer’s instructions. Family members said police arrested them in their grandmother’s hospital room.
