Game notes: The River Hawks have a new coach in former Boston College women’s assistant coach and University of Rhode Island head coach Tom Garrick. The River Hawks have lost three straight and are 325th among 349 Division I schools in scoring (55.5 ppg). The River Hawks were 1-15 in league play last season but battled down to the wire with UMaine at the Cross Insurance Center before losing 70-65. UML cannot be taken lightly. UMaine is sixth in the country in fewest turnovers per game (11.4) and ninth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.40). UMaine leads the conference in scoring (66.7 ppg), and Millan continues to lead America East in scoring. UMaine has won six of its past seven games.
