Police on Saturday identified the drivers in a head-on collision Friday afternoon on Route 9 in Lisbon that sent both women to Central Maine Medical Center, one by helicopter.
Christine Amaya, 52, of Sabattus was driving a red 2000 Chevrolet Blazer just before 4 p.m. when she reportedly crossed the center line and struck a gray 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 37-year-old Nicole Norman of Lisbon, Lisbon Police Department Sgt. Ryan McGee said.
Amaya was taken to Central Maine Medical Center by LifeFlight of Maine. She was in stable condition on Saturday with numerous fractures, McGee said.
Norman was taken by ambulance to CMMC, where she was treated and released.
Route 9, also known as Ridge Road, was closed for several hours as Brunswick police reconstructed the crash.
Charges may be pending awaiting toxicology results.
