A Chesterville man and a 12-year-old boy were injured Saturday afternoon when the snowmobiles they were riding collided in Livermore.
Shawn Soucy, 44, was riding a 2003 Ski-Doo Renegade 800 and the 12-year-old boy was riding a 2008 Yamaha FX Nitro 1000 on Round Pond about 1:25 p.m. when they collided, according to Cpl. John MacDonald, spokesman for the Maine Warden Service.
The boy and Soucy were taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
The boy suffered possible internal injuries, and Soucy suffered leg injuries, according MacDonald.
The crash is under investigation, but it “appears that speed and inattention may have contributed to the crash,” MacDonald said.
