Game notes: Hartford has won 10 of its past 11 games, and UMaine has six consecutive victories since its loss at Hartford. Abed is the America East Player of the Week thanks to a record-setting performance in a 92-47 win over UMBC last Wednesday. She broke the America East and school records with 10 3-pointers. She scored 36 points, which tied the school’s single-game scoring mark. Hartford’s victory over UMaine last month snapped a seven-game UMaine winning streak over the Hawks. UMaine is the top-scoring team in the conference, averaging 66.9 ppg, while the Hawks are the best defensive team, surrendering just 56.9 ppg. UMaine is 8-1 at the CIC this season with the only loss being a three-point setback to Duke. Hartford is 7-4 on the road this season.
