Two-time defending Class A champs and this year’s No. 1 seed Greely boys of Cumberland defeated No. 8 Mt. Ararat 70-46 Friday night in an A South quarterfinal matchup at the Portland Expo.

Greely’s record improves to 16-3 on the season. Mt. Ararat ends the year at 10-10.

The winner will go on to face No. 5 Kennebunk, who earned a spot in the semifinals after defeating No. 4 Leavitt in a previous quarterfinal game Friday.

The semifinal game will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cross Arena in Portland.
