Game notes: UMaine ended a five-game losing streak against UAlbany in their meeting earlier this season. The Black Bears jumped out to a 38-28 lead and held on despite not making a field goal in the final four minutes. El Darwich paced UMaine with 26 points and eight rebounds in the victory, while UAlbany’s Clark had 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals. UAlbany is tied for sixth in the America East standings with Binghamton after an 86-54 loss to Massachusetts Lowell on Wednesday. Clark ranks fourth and Healy sixth among conference scoring leaders, while Healy leads AE with his average of 3.2 3-pointers per game. Eighth-place UMaine is coming off its third straight conference loss, an 81-73 decision at Hartford on Wednesday despite having five scorers in double figures. Fleming led UMaine with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, while guard Dennis Ashley added a career-high 16 points. UMaine returns to the road next Wednesday at second-place Stony Brook (20-5, 8-2 AE).
