The third-seed Cape Elizabeth boys and No. 6 Freeport battled it out over four tight quarters, but Cape came away with a 56-49 win in Saturday’s B South quarterfinal play.

Cape’s record improves to 12-7 for the season. The Falcons end their season at 12-7.

The Capers will go on to face the winner of today’s match between No. 2 Maranacook (16-2) vs. No. 7 Yarmouth (8-10).

Cape Elizabeth made it to the B South finals in 2018 before falling to regional champs Wells, 40-35.
