Westbrook police are investigating a crash that caused a traffic backup on Route 22 on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. when a pickup truck rolled over multiple times on County Road, according to police. Officers said the car then collided with trees on the side of the road.
The driver was checked at the scene and had no reported injuries.
Westbrook police said “excessive speed” and “carelessness” were to blame and that the driver was lucky to walk away from the crash.
