An Iowa woman saw an unusual sight while riding home after a snow storm: an Amish man skiing behind a horse-and-buggy.
Jennifer Staggemeyer of Waukown, Iowa, was riding home with a friend after a trip to the Twin Cities in Minnesotawhen she spotted what looked like a horse-drawn buggy stuck in the ditch, according to NBC affiliate KWWL in Iowa.
OH BUGGY: At least some of us are enjoying this snow. Check out this Amish man SKIING behind his horse buggy! Thanks to Jenn Staggemeyer, of Waukon, for capturing and sharing this! pic.twitter.com/kG2VZrHajq

But as Staggemeyer got closer she realized the man was skiing behind buggy as the horses pulled it along the road.
In a cellphone video, the Amish man can be seen skiing over drifts while his horses trot along at a good pace.
“The Amish think of everything. When not boating with skis, they are using the snow instead! We were hoping he had a spotter because what if he wiped out? No one would know!” she told KWWL.
