The No. 1 Rangeley girls continued their dominant season with an easy 51-29 win over No. 4 Valley in Wednesday’s D South semifinal contest at the Augusta Civic Center to earn a spot in the regional finals.

The Lakers’ season record improves to 19-1. Valley’s season ends at 10-10.

Rangeley will move on to face No. 3 Greenville in the D South finals on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1:05 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center. Greenville earned its spot in the finals earlier Wednesday after ousting Temple in an upset win.

This gives the Lakers a chance to avenge their 2018 loss in the D South finals, when they fell to Vinalhaven 59-49.
