Greenville’s quest to repeat as the boys Class D state champions came to an end Wednesday, as the fifth-seeded Lakers fell to a dominant top-seeded Forest Hills team 72-37 in the D South semifinals at the Augusta Civic Center.
The Forest Hills Tigers’ undefeated record remains in tact (20-0) as they head to the finals. There, they will face Temple Academy on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2:45 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center.
Greenville’s season ends with a 9-11 record.
