The top-seeded boys of Winthrop made quick work of No. 5 Traip Academy, winning 68-25 Thursday night at the Augusta Civic Center to secure their third straight appearance in the C South finals.
Winthrop’s nearly-perfect season continues at 19-1. Traip’s season ends at 15-6.
The Ramblers will face No. 3 Hall-Dale in the regional finals, which will take place Saturday, Feb. 23 at 8:45 p.m.
It’s a repeat of last year’s C South finals, in which Hall-Dale prevailed over Winthrop, winning 51-37.
