Game notes: UMaine posted its largest goal output of the season in the 7-2 win at Boston College on Jan. 16. It snapped a seven-game losing streak at the hands of the Eagles in which UMaine scored only eight goals. Backup goalie Ryan Edquist played in the loss. UMaine is 2-0-1 in its last three games, while the Eagles will bring a four-game losing streak into the contest. Yarmouth native Wahlstrom, the freshman son of former Black Bear forward Joakim Wahlstrom, originally committed to attend UMaine. He was chosen in the first round by the New York Islanders (11th overall) last year. He had 2 & 2 in seven games for the silver medal-winning U.S. team in the World Junior Championships. Hutsko has missed the last three games for BC and Pearson missed last weekend’s series at Merrimack with an undisclosed injury. Fossier is tied for third in the country in assists and is fifth in assists per game (0.87). Cotton is sixth in the country in goals per game (0.59) and Pearson is tied for 11th (0.54). Swayman has a 0.947 save percentage over his last four games.
