It took firefighters about an hour and half to get a house fire in Norway under control.

Firefighters got the call around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday to respond to a home on Crockett Ridge Road.

Investigators said the fire started in the kitchen of the single family home.

Norway Fire Chief Dennis Yates said the house isn’t a total loss and is still structurally sound.

He said the family who lives in the house will not be allowed to stay there.

It’s not clear how the fire started, no injuries are reported.
