A Canadian couple got quite a surprise late last month when they spotted a moose walking atop their apartment building’s carport.
Sandeep Pahal told the CBC that her husband, Mandeep, arrived home from work just after midnight on Feb. 28 when he noticed something stomping on the carport roof above him. To his surprise, it was a moose.

“All you see is a moose up there. He’s just prancing around from one side of the carport to the other end,” Sandeep Pahal, who filmed the encounter, told the CBC.
The couple live in Prince George in central British Columbia.
Eamon McArthur, a member of the British Columbia Conservation Officer Service, told the CBC that the moose likely climbed high snow piles to get onto the carport roof.
The moose eventually made its way down from the roof using a tree for support, Sandeep told the Canadian broadcaster.
