The driver of a pickup truck eluded police on Tuesday night after briefly leading a Somerset County sheriff’s deputy on a high-speed chase.
The Waterville Morning Sentinel reports that Deputy Toby Blodgett attempted to pull over a silver Chevrolet pickup truck for speeding on Nokomis Road in Saint Albans about 7:57 p.m.
The driver didn’t stop and led Blodgett on a chase that reached speeds of 85 mph, according to the Sentinel. The pursuit was called off after about 5 minutes.
