A 25 year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection to a shooting in Portland, according to the Portland Police Department.

Markus Scott was arrested in Lewiston around 5 p.m.

Police were called to a disturbance on Sherman Street in Portland around 3:30 a.m., and when officers arrived at the scene, they said they heard multiple shots being fired, according to Portland police.

After an investigation that involved the Lewiston police and the FBI Safe Streets Taskforce, Scott was taken into custody.

Scott is charged with reckless conduct involving a firearm, which is a felony.

No one was injured in that shooting.

That was one of two shootings police responded to in the Forest City on Saturday. Another shooting across the city on Milton Street early Saturday morning left 22-year-old Isahak Muse dead. Portland police have said the two shootings were unrelated.
