A 26-year-old Brunswick woman, Kathy Haycock, died in a one-car crash on Interstate 295 in Falmouth just before 2 p.m. on Friday, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety. Two men were seriously injured.

The car, driven by 29-year-old Brannon McRae from Augusta, left the road and hit rock ledges that lined the highway. McRae and Haycock’s brother, Joshua Haycock, also of Brunswick, were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Other drivers on the road told authorities that the car appeared to be driving erratically.

State police are asking motorists who saw McRae’s 2012 Chevrolet Malibu just before the crash or who witnessed the crash to call 207-624-7076 and ask for Trooper Robert Burke.
