AUBURN — A 77-year-old Portland man crashed his SUV into the Auburn McDonald’s on Tuesday after he mistook the gas for the brake pedal.
The driver was trying to leave the Central Street McDonald’s when he saw a vehicle coming and went to stop but hit the gas pedal instead. No one was hurt.
The side of the McDonald’s was significantly damaged, but the structural integrity of the building was not compromised.
