SWANZEY, New Hampshire — A New Hampshire church is dedicating a memorial to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the signing of the Mayflower Compact.
The First Congregational Church in Swanzey dedicated the bronze memorial with a Liberty Elm tree on Saturday.
The compact was signed on Nov. 11, 1620, by religious pilgrims aboard the Mayflower. It is often referred to as America’s “First Constitution.”
