WARREN, Maine ― A Maine State Prison inmate died at the facility on Christmas Day.
George Riddle, 48, formerly of Sanford, died around 11 a.m. Friday, according to the Maine Department of Corrections.
Riddle’s passing was attended by medical personnel and was not related to COVID-19.
Riddle has been held at the prison since 2017 and was scheduled to be released in 2025. He was serving a sentence for burglary and robbery.
