A Capitol Police officer is on life support as a result of Wednesday’s riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to CNN.

CNN reported Thursday afternoon that the police officer had died, but a source later retracted his statement.

“He had a stroke. I think he’s on life support. We’ve got some misinformation on that. He’s on life support from what I’m hearing,” Capitol Police union chair Gus Papathanasiou told CNN on Thursday evening.

One woman was fatally shot by Capitol Police as she breached the building as part of the mob, and three others died of medical emergencies.
