Two people are in the hospital with serious injuries following a motorcycle crash on I-95 near Augusta Monday afternoon.
Patrick Daggett, 40, of New Sharon was driving a 2005 Harley in the northbound lane of I-95 near mile marker 114 when a mechanical failure occurred, officials said. Daggett pulled over into the breakdown lane, but lost control and went off the roadway. Both Daggett and his passenger, Rebecca Wallace, 42, of Jay, were ejected.
Both were taken to a Portland hospital via LifeFlight, officials said. Neither of them were wearing helmets.
