A major Bangor-area health care provider has closed its walk-in care facilities Monday due to technological difficulties.
The closure includes all five of Penobscot Community Health Care’s walk-in clinics, which are located in Bangor, Brewer, Old Town and Belfast. The health care provider also said Monday morning that its pharmacies are experiencing internet disruptions but are attempting to stay open, according to a post on Facebook.
Despite the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the organization’s walk-in facilities were slated to open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with other locations closed.
All Penobscot Community Health Care locations are expected to reopen Tuesday.
Other walk-in care centers in the Bangor area are open, including Northern Light Walk-in Care on Union Street in Bangor and Convenient MD’s clinic on Broadway in Bangor.
