A school bus and a car collided in Raymond Tuesday morning.

The bus, driven by Joseph Conley, 66, was driving on Martin Heights at approximately 8:38 am.m when he attempted to make a right hand turn onto Route 85, according to Capt. Kerry Joyce of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

While Conley was turning, 35-year-old Noah Mclean was southbound on Route 85. Conley did not see Mclean’s vehicle, and the two collided, Joyce said.

The front right corner of Mclean’s 2001 Nissan hit the front left corner of the bus, and the Nissan rolled over, according to officials.

Mclean was not seriously injured in the crash.

No one on the bus, which was carrying 26 students ranging from 5 to 10 years old, was injured.

Conley was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated, but was not seriously hurt, according to Joyce.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the crash, and the children were picked up by another bus and taken to school, WGME reported.

The crash is under investigation.
