A Standish man died in a rollover crash in Standish on Thursday morning.

Officers from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call around 10:36 a.m. of a vehicle that had rolled over with an injured person inside it near 150 Moody Road, according to Capt. Kerry Joyce.

Stephen J. Nappi, 69, was extricated from the vehicle by the Jaws of Life, but died before he could be rescued from his 2019 Ford F-150.

Nappi was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, Joyce said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but officials do not believe the speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
