PORTLAND, Maine — State Theater in Portland is dropping its vaccination and mask requirement.

With the drop in cases and hospitalizations in Maine, State Theater says effective April 1 you won’t have to show proof you’re vaccinated against COVID and you won’t have to show proof of a negative test.

Effective immediately masks are no longer required inside.

There are exceptions: If an artist requires vaccination proof — or wants its audience to wear masks — state theater will comply.
