This letter is in support of Kevin O’Connell who is running for re-election to the Maine House of Representatives from Brewer (now in District 20 after redistricting).

O’Connell is a lifelong Brewer resident who has dedicated his life to service and our community. Before his election to the Legislature in 2020, he served on the Brewer City Council including two terms as mayor. He has also served on the school board, parks and recreation committee, and others.

He has been very active in the community through the years such as by working as a youth sports coach and participating on several adult parks and recreation sports teams. He has worked as a lineman for Bangor Hydro/Emera/Versant for over 30 years, and he is a career veteran of the Maine Air National Guard having served through several overseas deployments.

He is a practical problem-solver who listens to and works with anyone to support the interests of the residents of Brewer. His priorities include continuing to improve the local economy and infrastructure, making healthcare more affordable, supporting education including continuing-education and job training programs, taking care of our elderly citizens and military veterans, and finding additional ways to reduce property tax burdens.

Most of all, he is a caring and devoted father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend. If people live in Brewer, I hope they will join me in supporting Kevin O’Connell for reelection to the Maine House of Representatives this fall.
