In reading a few of the Republican candidate signs, I must admit that I am a bit confused.  “Putting the rights and welfare of Maine people first,” is printed on lawn signs for a Republican candidate for the Maine House of Representatives.

Protecting our freedoms — Republicans have  voted against lower prescription costs, lower energy costs and lower health care costs. They have voted against a woman’s right to choose; they are banning books; and some are very vocal about cutting Social Security and Medicare.

I hope that if Republicans are voted to the House of Representatives in Maine, they will protect our freedoms and put Maine people first. Republicans can’t have it both ways.
