A Smithfield man was injured Thursday morning when his car collided with a train in Belgrade.
William Bockman, 83, was driving a blue Hyundai Elantra south on Route 27 about 6:25 a.m. when he collided with a railroad tamper operated by 19-year-old Bryce Willette of Madison, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
