This year marks the 46th modern-era moose hunt in Maine.
This fall, 3,705 lucky hunters will get the opportunity to pursue the state’s largest game animal during the 2026 season. The allocation includes 2,645 antlered permits and 1,060 antlerless permits. The first hunt week begins Sept. 28.
