With the great weather Maine is looking forward to this week, it’s a great time to head out to the Fryeburg Fair.
From thrilling games, fun rides and even massive turkey legs, the fairground has it all.
There are also dozens of animals and food venders for guests to check out.
If you can’t get enough of the fun, you can camp out at the fair for two nights.
Organizers said Monday is a special day. It’s “Woodsmen’s Field Day,” a popular annual event at the fair.
“All of the, essentially, lumberjacks and jills come together and compete in their sport,” publicity assistant Emily Ouellette said. “There’s a lot of sawing and chopping, and it’s really exciting, a lot of people will come out for that.”
The fair goes through next Sunday.
Tickets are $15 for adults and kids are free. There’s also a pass for the entire week for $100.
Gates open daily at 7 a.m., and closing time is at 10 p.m.
