A cement truck driver was uninjured after the truck’s engine caught fire on Wednesday morning on Interstate 95.

The driver had been southbound in the concrete pumping truck when the engine caught fire, and the driver pulled over onto the shoulder near mile marker 174, according to the Maine State Police.

The fire prompted a detour near the Carmel-Winterport exit, as well as closing the traveling lane for a short time on Wednesday.

The truck was towed by Bouchard’s Towing.
