WEST PARIS, Maine — Two people were sent to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries after a head-on crash in West Paris on Saturday.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the two-vehicle crash on Bethel Road in the area of Snow Falls, in the town of West Paris.

Investigation of the crash scene showed that a 43-year-old male driver in a Hyundai crossed the centerline and struck another Hyundai driven by a 52-year-old woman head-on, police said.

Both drivers were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries.

Oxford County Sheriff’s Office says Bethel Road is now open after it was closed for a few hours while the crash was being reconstructed.
