I generally appreciated the Bangor Daily News’ Veterans Day pull-out, with the exception of Bangor International Airport’s article on the Maine Troop Greeters. How sad that Master Sgt. Kevin Tillman (who borrowed a high school student’s saxophone and played the national anthem while at the Bangor airport) is only referred to anonymously.

All on his own, Tillman’s act of patriotism and musicianship started the movement that evolved into the now world-famous Maine Troop Greeters.
