The Bangor Daily News’ Jan. 4 editorial stated that it was damaging to the public trust for politicians not elected by voters to make a determination to remove Donald Trump from the ballot. It should be up to the voters.

Yet, on Jan. 6 , 2021, Trump, a politician who was not elected by the voters in 2020, attempted to determine who would be president. Unlike him, Shenna Bellows was following the Constitution.
