A church in North Carolina has collected and delivered supplies and relief for Maine flooding victims from the Dec. 18 storm.

Kevin Jamison, the store manager of the Aubuchon Hardware in Rumford, said that the Grace Chapel Church reached out to him shortly after the flooding in mid-December.

The church in Dunn, North Carolina, began collecting “everything from furniture to cleaning supplies and everything in between,” for the people of Rumford.

So far, the group is known to have served about 70 people.

The Red Cross deemed the towns of Rumford and Mexico the most impacted by the December flooding, with many homes being severely damaged.

Brandy Marshall of Grace Chapel Church said that this type of service is something the church does regularly.
