Twins Cooper and Ace Flagg played their first basketball game in Maine in nearly two years, and they did not disappoint.

The brothers, who led Nokomis to a Class A state championship in 2022, returned with their Montverde Academy teammates to play a two-game Maine Event series at Portland’s Cross Insurance Center and Portland Expo.

Montverde defeated Gonzaga College Prep 93-51 on Friday and CATS Academy Boston 105-58 on Saturday.

Cooper Flagg, the nation’s No. 1 draft prospect and former Maine Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year, averaged 26 points (64.7 percent shooting), 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 5.5 blocks per game.
