BRISTOL, Maine — Bristol Parks and Recreation says that Pemaquid Point Lighthouse was damaged during Wednesday’s storm.

They are warning residents to stay away from the lighthouse and Pemaquid Beach Park due to debris.

Bristol Parks and Recreation says both locations are very dangerous and town resources are being used to help with damage in other areas.

It is unclear when the area will be open to the public again.

Multiple towns along the Maine coast suffered storm damage on Wednesday after hurricane-strength winds whipped through the region.

Weather patterns are expected to calm throughout the day Thursday, although more precipitation is expected through the weekend.
