Police on Tuesday released photos showing a person of interest in the Friday morning robbery of a Key Bank in South Portland.

The lone man went to the Key Bank on Gorham Road about 11:49 a.m. where he demanded money and claimed to have an explosive device, according to Shara Dee, a spokesperson for the city of South Portland.

No weapons or explosives were displayed during the robbery.

The man fled in a black Chevrolet Suburban, which police located about a mile away in a parking lot off John Roberts Road, according to Dee. Police believe the suspect stole the vehicle.

Police have described the suspect as a white man who was wearing a black jacket, black mask, beanie style cap and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.

Dee said Tuesday afternoon that no arrests have been made, but investigators have identified a person of interest.
