A Bangor elementary school was closed Tuesday because of a water main break.

The water main broke on Forest Avenue, forcing Abraham Lincoln School to close for the day, according to Ray Phinney, a spokesperson for the Bangor School Department.

There will be no remote learning Tuesday, Phinney said in an email.

It wasn’t immediately clear when the school will reopen.

Additional information was immediately available.
