A man has been accused of breaking into a 62-year-old’s home in Portland and severely beating her.
Stephen Brichetto, 53, was charged with aggravated assault and burglary, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
Brichetto allegedly broke into a Congress Street home about 3:18 a.m. on Jan. 19. When inside, he beat the older woman living in the apartment, Nadeau said Tuesday.
Brichetto was arrested on Monday.
