It’s easy to see what’s wrong with America these days. One needs to look no further than the 150 U.S. House Democrats who voted against deportation of migrants, here both legally and illegally, convicted of DUI. It seems to me that they’d rather see Americans die than lose the prospect of future votes.

To his credit, Rep. Jared Golden voted for this bill, while, according to the House’s online records, Rep. Chellie Pingree was among the shameful 150 (Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act; Congressional Record Vol. 170, No. 19, House-Feb. 1, 2024).
