Local late night host Danny Cashman announced Saturday that “The Nite Show with Danny Cashman” will end in 2025, WABI reported.

The Maine-focused late show, which features local celebrities, comedians, performers and more, has been on the air for 14 years.

It is recorded in front of a studio audience at the Gracie Theatre in Bangor and sometimes the Westbrook Performing Arts Center. It airs Saturday nights at 11:30 on WABI in Bangor and on the CW in Portland.

Cashman made the announcement during his broadcast on Saturday.

“We have a whole other season to go,” Cashman told the audience, “but as much as I enjoy the adrenaline, as much as I enjoy the high rate of speed that we’re going at, it’s just going to get faster and at some point, you gotta let go of the tube.”

Ethan Andrews is the night editor. He was formerly the managing editor at The Free Press and worked as a reporter for The Republican Journal and Pen Bay Pilot.
