The University of Maine women’s basketball team’s America East game against Binghamton on Thursday night had to be moved from the Memorial Gym in Orono to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor due to a power outage in Orono.

The game had been scheduled for a 6 p.m. tipoff in Orono but was pushed back to a 7:00 start at the Cross Insurance Center.

It will be the first UMaine women’s team game at the Cross Insurance Center in over two years.

The Black Bears’ last game there was a 71-47 win over the University of Maryland Baltimore County on Feb. 27, 2022.

Beginning last season, all of their home games have been played at the Memorial Gym in Orono.
