A York man reported missing has been found dead.
Jerry Allen, 76, likely left his house on foot during the daylight hours on Wednesday, according to the York Police Department. He was found dead around 2 p.m. on Thursday, although authorities are not disclosing where his body was discovered.
Allen was last seen about 11 a.m. Wednesday at the York American Legion, and he hadn’t been seen since, York police said Thursday morning.
Police believe he returned home sometime afterward because he left his vehicle and personal belongings there.
An investigation is ongoing.
